Syrian diplomacy directly accused Israel of the attack, which it described as a “bloody crime,” the Sana news agency reported.

Syria showed its “total solidarity with the Lebanese people,” which it firmly supports in its right to reply to the pager explosions, and urged the international community to condemn this “Zionist aggression.”

The Foreign Affairs Ministry also noted that the Israeli cyberattack used the media and technology as a tool to cause deaths among the Lebanese civilian population, a situation it considered “unprecedented.”

“This terrorist aggression reflects Israel’s desire to expand the war and its thirst for more bloodshed,” added the Syrian Foreign Affairs Ministry.
